i guess i'm not the only one

it's so reassuring to know that i'm not the only one who thinks this way.

While i still buy things at the local discount chains, it is more often because i have an idea what i want and not because the salesperson is able to provide me with any meaningful info. in fact when i run across other people needing something for their mac, i tend to be able to answer their questions better than the hired help. this article really helped me to understand that it isn't just macs these people know nothing about, it's computers in general.

Retailers know nothing about nothing

Last year I was going to buy an iPaq 3870, the bluetooth model. The sales guy was trying to sell me a 3760 or so with lower memory, lower resolution, no expansion slot no bluetooth and he did not even know what an iPaq 3870 was hehehehe. Some people dont know what an SD is and they work for tech stores... how sad
