| Hello everyone! I have to write a research paper on an upcoming project for my senior year. I'm not to sure on my topic for the paper yet. I was look towards comparing operating systems, involving Linux. For example, one idea was to compare the stability between SuSe Linux vs. Windows XP or Mac OSX. I created this thread to see if anyone had any idea's. Thank you in advance! ![]() //edit: For my senior project I was going to make a web server, and host a webpage that I made. What OS should I run? OSX server or a Linux distribution? Thank you. - Eric Last edited by Snaffle; February 8th, 2006 at 10:09 PM. |

| You certainly could write a nice research paper on the history (evolution) of these operating systems. As far as a web server, that depends on what you can get your hands on. A linux distribution could be more feasible since you could download it for free. |
