If you Freelance, what do you do for health insurance?

Just something I wondered about those out there who are freelancing. Who/what do you use? And how has it been without a steady paycheck?

Move to Europe (especially France). You get much better health care over here, even in Great Britain where health care is free (despite what the hostile British media has to say about the NHS).

However, if you do not want to come over here, consider changing state. The lowest monthly insurance policy for a self-employed person living in Columbus, Ohio is $52. In New York the lowest is $335. Apparently Seattle has the lowest rates across the States.

If you insist on living in NY (and why wouldn't you) you could try HipUSA.

My wife and I signed up under anthem. It's geared toward young (under 30) trendy folks. Neon cards and a flashy website and crap. Haven't had need other than dental once. so far so good.
