it pretty sad that ya'll can tell when garageband loops are being used in commericals. lol. but i do have to hand it to ya'll for having an ear good enouph to catch things like that. i am tone deaf, so i could never do it.

as far as midi out, i thought gb did. i had a midi keyboard plugged into my mac at one point and was goofing w/gb and getting sound out of the board. well, maybe it was with the midi setup app, now i'm not sure, thatks alot nix!

Nah, GarageBand doesn't have MIDI out. That's the caveat of having such a wonderful and inexpensive app according to Apple. You want MIDI out then you're goign to have to get Soundtrack or another third party app.

I was actually thinking of compiling LMMS on the Mac after downloading the necessary requirements using Fink. I'll let you know how that pans out.
