| (un)?fortunately, they don't. it's just an animation showing the 1st screen, and then the second screen. the os doens't actually look like that.

| it uses the standard openGL effects made available to developers in macos x. see handbrake's picture quality screen to see the checkbox for 'useless openGL effects'. virtual desktops are a bit more hassle then they're worth when you have exposé.
