Anyone actually use a Mac for servers?

Like web servers? I know there is OSX Server Edition or something... be how does it compare to the average Linux servers?

Quite a few people and entities do, including some commercial hosts like ItsAMac, Server Logistics, and Xrack Hosting.

Well I am sure that there are people who do; but I guess the what I want to know is why they do... like what advantage it has over other set-ups like Linux, Solaris, maybe even Windows Server?

Mac OS X Server is probably the least efficient server OS on the planet, so the only advantage it has over others for web hosting is the simple administration user interface. Custom configurations that Apple didn't implement in their software, however, are more work to implement in Mac OS X Server than e.g. Linux.

A Linux server will to the job three to four times faster on the same hardware.
