| "Right to know..." - it sells - the press seeks attention to ultimately SELL their product (website, newspaper, TV or radio news, whatever ideology...) - or the underlying agendas that may cause the press to want to have these hidden agendas? When people are constantly afraid, they start to behave like sheep ... - as theorized by Michael Moore (Fahrenheit 911 etc etc). I think the selling point - the newspaper, tv show, ideology - is the main point why we hear this stuff. If people would buy different, we might here totally different things in the news. |
