Cairo's New Real Estate

Mr Apple is looking for new digs in Cairo. I drove past, saw the signs and stopped to get a pic with a camera-phone. It's right across the street from the BMW dealer and when I was taking the shot, a cop came and rousted me. Touchy those Egyptians...

I can hardly wait - Mr Apple tells me he'll open in early May. It's a premium reseller shop, but still nice. The design is totally Apple Store - there won't be anything like it in Cairo.

Cairo 1991. National Museum, the Pyramids and the City of the Dead.

Ruined the whole experience by succumbing to a visit to a Pizza Hut in the diplomatic district.

However, met 'Mack the Knife' (a vet from Brisbane) and a Norwegian Commando in a mosque.

Not exactly around the corner, but I pass by on the way to the gym. And I've known Mr Apple since I came here 10 years ago.
