Does England smell?

Stinky manure smell engulfs London

Is it really true? I can't believe fresh country air smells can travel that far?

Yes, but only England. Scotland and Wales remain untouched.

I don't notice the smell. Maybe it's exaggerated?

Apparently the odour was believed to be manure used on agricultural land on continental Europe, mixed with a bit of industrial pollutants from the Ruhr.

Furthermore, I have an alibi.

Try Paris, starting with the Metro, for example.... just for laughs. Manure is "clean" BO is not. All depends on the context. Open air or closed quarters? Cheers.
