| Confronting rough figures such as budgets or populations won't be enough to make a correct comparative analysis. In fact, a comparison between both systems is far more complex and would take more time to do than to rewrite the totality of this forum's text on toilet paper. And this is only half a joke.

I was reading Utne Reader magazine and came across this in an article about our economy. Thought it was funny, and so typical. |

| Dude, stop double posting. Policies like health care and education are so bad in this country because they are undergoing massive budget cuts and they are often controlled by big businesses. HMO's control much of health care in this country, and they are only interested in making a quick buck, not providing the best service for the patient. Both big businesses and the government need to take a good, long look at what the current state of their country is, and what their decisions will do to it, rather than make policies based on money or political power. I hate reading about politicians enabling some change because it will (hopefully) garner them votes at the next election. Big businesses need to see what the state of the economy is and analyze what moving their production overseas will do to the current job market, stock market, and economy. Capital greed benefits only a few people; foresight benefits everyone.
