| Parallels and Windows xp peripherals When I use Parallels to open Windows xp it fails to recognize any peripherals such as an external hard drive or memory stick. I assume that this is due to some setting that I am failing to set. I would appreciate any suggestions. |

| Guess it's a FireWire HD? I'm not sure whether the virtual machine _sees_ the FireWire port... My USB devices usually just show up.

| Hard Drive partitioned Thank you for the quick reply! While in OS X mode I partitioned a Maxtor hard drive into 5 partitions. 3 were formatted for the Mac and 2 were formatted for the PC. All 5 partitions are accessible in OS X but none appear when I switch to windows xp. I created the partitions using a firewire connection, but when they failed to show in windows I turned the machine off and switched the cable to USB. I can still see all 5 partitions in OS X but nothing appears in windows xp. |
