Using Virtual PC's copy of Windows for Parallels

I've got Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Professional as part of MS Office 2004 for Mac. It's got three CDs for the VPC part.

I'm wondering if I can use those CDs (or at least the activation code) for use with a new Intel based Mac / PC workstation. This will replace my existing VPC setup, so I would like the Windows license to transfer.

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
The copy of WinXP which was bundled with VPC is an OEM version designed specifically for VPC. It would be no more legal to use this version than it would be to use the version which shipped with your new Gateway.

Or you could borrow the WinXP from a friend (or something) and use you're existing license key.

you can use your windows xp with bootcamp

Your license of Windows XP included with Virtual PC CAN legally be used with another computer without Virtual PC as long as you delete the old version and the old Virtual PC.

You can use the above helps and hints to create a bootable CD from your Virtual PC cd's and then load it onto an Intel Mac using Bootstrap or Parralells.

I figure I am running my copy on the same virtual box as the previous virtual box I was running on ;-). I haven't done the msoft handshake yet though, still 27 day left, so who knows...
