Knoppix

I was trying to set up a Parallels VM for Fedora Core using the DVD that came with the book Linux Bible, which contains various different distros including Knoppix Live. When I rebooted the iMac it booted from the DVD, so I selected the Knoppix Live option for a laugh just to see what happened.

It worked! It took a while to set up the hardware and everything, but it picked up both processors, the Logitech Bluetooth mouse, and eventually reached the desktop. The only thing it wouldn't set up was the network, otherwise I would have posted this from within Knoppix.

I hadn't really thought if it would work or not, but I was surprised at how well it did.
