I started VMware the other day and forgot that it was running (in a different spaces window) and never even noticed a Windows XP session was running the entire day. I am very pleased with VMware overall.

Well, if you don't need it in 24h you don't need it at all. ... Seriously, though: The Mac's good in "hiding" unused apps from you. I don't notice Parallels in the background, either.
