processor93 is on a distinguished road
partition accessibility in XP/OSX

when creating a partition to install windows XP, how much is enough?

i plan to use this to edit music files. i know i need enough space for XP, all the apps and plugins, but do i need to allow space for the music files themselves on the same partition? or will XP recognize the OSX partition as another drive and be able to open files on it?

ElDiabloConCaca will become famous soon enough
XP will not recognize the OS X partition, without help from software like MacDrive or something similar.

How big are your files? Can you use an external USB drive in XP under Boot Camp? We don't know whether you're working with 5MB audio files, or 5GB audio files -- only you know how much space you need to work on and store these files.
