The Mystery of the dissapearing Windows

I have an Intel Imac. Works very well. I installed XP/bootcamp and It worked very well. I turned on my Imac yesterday and held down the option key and the white screen came up, but the only image to select was that of the Mac HD. Has anyone encountered this before as is there a solution? Many thanks.
