Question Boot Camp 2.0 Kernel Panic on Partitioning

I am trying to install Windows XP with Boot Camp. I am already using Parrallels. MacBook Pro 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, 2Gb RAM, 100GB Hard Drive, 10.5.2 OSX, 32 Gb available, trying to partition 15 Gb for Windoze.
I ran Disk Repair and Permissions Repair before install.
The installer for Boot Camp 2.0 that lives in my Utilities folder cranks awhile then brings up the black Kernel Panic screen.
I then lose 10Gb of space on my Hard Drive until I run disk repair.
I've been through the process twice.
Any ideas?
I am now downloading the 10.5.3 update (did not know about it) and will update everyone after I try that again.
Please help...
