Ejecting DVD during Windows Install

Ejecting a CD on a Mac seems like a common problem that demands a simple solution. After searching the forums, it has become clear that Mac developers designed a car with a hood that can be only be opened when the car is traveling down the highway and the geeks are inventing ways to change the air filter by tunneling through the fire wall.

Why would you want to eject a CD 'during Windows install'?

I suppose you are asking about the eject key on the Mac keyboard, which does not function until the Apple Windows drivers are loaded. So how do you eject the Windows installer when the eject key on the keyboard doesn't work yet?

If you are booted to windows, you can always eject the disk through My Computer, even without the Apple drivers loaded. There's probably other events in Windows that will eject the disk when desired, but I'm not that familiar with other Windows shortcuts. I always can eject the disk from My Computer.

Am I on the right track here, or do you have a different challenge? (I think Windows is full of challenges, but that's just me )
