VM Fusionware Windows XP and Quicken 8

I have installed VM Fusionware on my Mac. I have also installed Quicken 8. When I try to restore data files from a flash drive or CD I get the following message "The disk is not ready". I can see the data file on the disk but the program will not restore. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?
