Parallels on Mac System

Using Parallels on Mac with System 10.6.1.
I have done the following.
Stop Windowa xp
Opened VM configuration Editor Added Parallels printer port-Selected a printer-
Started windows using HP Color Laser Jrt 8500 PS on LPT1 as instructed;
My printer is a HP 9800.
Cannot print in Windows.
