Boot camp woes

Hello everyone. I am a new member to this forum, so just wanted to say hi.

But on to my problem. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have a Intel MacBook running OSX 10.5.7, and just recently i have used rEfit to have the option to dual boot from OSX and Linux. But now, due to college requirements i need this macbook to run Windows. I have the legal copy of Windows, and i tried opening up bootcamp to see if i could delete the linux partition on the HD. It refused to be of any use. So now i am stuck and have no idea what my next step should be.

I am usually pretty computer savvy so complex instructions shouldn't be a problem for me. Thanks in advance to any who reply

BTW if it helps any here is the output after i run Partition Inspector

Have you tried deleting the partition through Disk Utility?

Yes. Nothing happens, it just gets stuck at "Preparing to delete volume". Also, i have just tried booting from windows cd and maybe using windows installer to delete Linux partition and install in its place, but it wont even boot the windows cd. Im confused.

Thanks for fast reply.

Maybe try doing it from the OS X install CD?

Was that really necessary?

Also, Mac OS X is UNIX, so your fruity little analogy is irrelevant.
