owc has a usb solution that costs about 30usd. and its wireless-g instead of wireless-b like the airport card you want, so it'll be faster.
    Digital Audio G4/1.467ghz, 1.5gig ram, 16x Superdrive, 256mb DDR3 AGP 6800GS, zip, 2x500gig raid0 for 1tb on sonnet tempo trio, 10.5.4

thanks for the info, I already have a USB WIFI adapter, it is an ASUS WL-167g adapter, but I dont get good reception with it, I though the airport card would work better, since it is usb 1.1 it is limited to 11Mbps of speed instead of 54Mbps. So I am ok with the wireless B instead of Wirelss G.
But thanks again for the info.

Actually USB is measure in MB/s, not Mb/s. So it could technically handle G without any issues.

That said, you're right on the Airport. I ran a B/G adapter on my G3 iBook for about two weeks, before breaking down and buying an original airport card. The USB adapter's interface was too clunky, not to mention the device itself looked ugly on the laptop and made for way too much hassle trying to lug the laptop around efficiently.

The original white Airport Base Stations have the original airport cards inside should you come across one any cheaper.
