background image 2, the sequel

Dreamweaver MX

Thanks to rinse, I gathered some useful info on b/g images, but now I've encountered another problem (can't find anything about it in the manuals).

When setting up the background image using css styles, the image only appears at the top of the page for 25 pixels or so unless I specify the actual height of the image in the 'box' section of the style setup.

In either case, the annoying thing is that unlike a normal background, the image seems to have a runaround, forcing tables above or below it and text returns create a new line with a repeat b/g image below the original.

I've tried jpg and gif.

Probably I have puke for brains, if I didn't, I have now.

So the question is, what am I not doing right apart from not staying off the drink??

Cheers, Lazzo
