I usually go for the abstracts. The less in-your-face, the better...

I also enjoy some flora macrophotography for my backgrounds.

I usually have similar ones, this I've had for a long time, trying to keep it cleaner... & some more tagged with desktop and screenshot. On the Dell I have OS X background...
