| Any insight as where I may purchase one of the new 1 GHZ G4's? (just the processor not the whole system). I'm looking to upgrade my G4 466 and it seems to have the same architecture as the new systems. Is it even possible to buy just the processor? Any help would be appreciated! |

| reply Processors are sold in quantities of 1000. Cisco also uses this processor(G?). I don't think this helps, but anyway you're a real MacFan. best wishes, Hervé |

| Processor, like any other goods, can be bought in 1 quantity... it's just a question of price and time. Check Motorola web site to get the address of the nearest Motorola distributor. I expect that specialists of the Mac upgrade will offer you better prices than regular Motorola distributors, as you are their main business and they want to sell to you.
