3 button mouse

I recently downloaded the Maya personal learning edition and it makes use of a 3 button mouse for many functions. I have an intellimouse explorer with the wheel and I am unable to use this as the middle button. I do have the intellimouse software installed but it does not have the option to make it a third button. it's options include double click, triple click, scroll lock, ect...

Does anybody know of any software I can use to make this third button act as a "middle" button of any other unix variant?

Or maybe even just emulate the third button somehow?

Edit: I guess I should play around with the settings more often. I just disabled the intellimouse software and it works great. Now my mouse moves extremely slow now. I guess I'm off to hack the mouse plist now

Or you could use USB-Overdrive...it lets you customize your mouse at free will (ok, it will never brew the coffee...) and is all around wonder (or has been for me...)

Or you could get a Kensington which has proper software.

My Logitech Wheel Mouse works perfectly and so does the Logitech Control Center.
