Are multifunction printers worth it with 10.2?

I am thinking of buying a multifunction all-in-one (copier, printer, scanner, fax) from HP. Can someone tell me:

1. Do any of the HP models do a competent job?

2. Are the scanner/printer drivers now compatible with 10.2?

Any advice or tips most welcomed. Thanks! Eric.
