Subdued Printing

I am running Tiger on a Mac OSX v.10.4, however this problem has persisted since I first got my iMac and was using an earlier version of the Mac OS.

I have a Canon i450 and when I print out of certain applications such as InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and all my iMail, any colours as well as black print only in draft quality. They are very subdued. I have tried all options in the Print Dialogue Box, including ColorSync and have had no better results. The only thing I can do is save the artwork or text as a postscript file, reopen it in Acrobat or import it into Photoshop, and print from there, then everything is fully saturated.

Documents printed directly from Microsoft or Excel are fine.

I don't know of anyone else with this problem. Can you help me?

Thanks
Lolly

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
Having no idea what subdued printing looks like and not having your model printer, I can only guess at what your problem may be. However, you should go through each option available in your File/Print dialog box. You may try searching for an ink saving mode.
