Inwell using iBook/Powerbook touchpad?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the touchpad on an Apple portable as a handwriting input device? It seems like it might be possible, and it was the first thing I thought of when I saw Inkwell support in Jaguar. There's got to be a way to do it.

Nope. You'll really need a tablet to run Inkwell.

(I use a Wacom Graphire 2 on my iBook, and it's pretty neat. But for me, the keyboard is much quicker and easier.)
