Best volume adjuster for iTunes/iPod

I really hate having to lower and raise the volume between songs in iTunes and on my iPod. I need to find the best application that will go through my iTunes library and adjust each song's individual volume setting, so all the songs are roughly the same volume.

Can anyone recommend an application which does this? 'SoundCheck' isn't even worth using. It just doesn't work well.
