| I got an Ipod Video recently and just out of curiosity I wanted to know about the battery. It says that it lasts for 14 hours for the 30GB one which I have but it seems only to last for a matter of 5-7 hours. Is there any reasons for this? Is the 14 hours the top amount of time it can last without being used that much? Or maybe a something else but if anyone can offer their help I would greatfully appreciate it. Thanks James |

| Are you using the video much? The video playback is 2 hours. I have the 60GB version which has 20 hours normal, and 3 hours video playback, and I use the video a lot, so I have to charge my iPod every day or two.

| Yep -- the stated battery life is for music encoded at 128kbps AAC only. Anything more (like a higher bitrate, or a movie) will cause the battery life to be much shorter.
