Mac OS 10.4.3 and HP LaserJet 4MP Printing Problem

When I first got my new iMac G5 a month and a half ago, I hooked up my HP LaserJet 4MP via USB and started printing immediately. Today, with no changes to my software or hardware, I suddenly get the message "Printer Not Responding" whenever I try to print. I have tried printing from several different applications, all with the same result. I have reset the print in the Printer Setup Utility, and re-added my printer, then restarted my system. I still get "Printer Not Responding." Any ideas what happened and how I might fix it? Thanks.

You didn't say if you've tried reseting the printer. Unplug power for a minute and then replug.
Is it connected by USB-parallel adapter?

LaserJet issue resolved

Turned out to be a bad cable. All is well now.
