| converting videos to ipod format with mmpegx hey everyone. So i just bought a beautiful new ipod video and when I got home realized that all of my video podcasts weren't able to be transferred onto the ipod b/c they weren't in the right format. I got and d/l mmpegx, along with all of the required licensing stuff, and proceeded to convert my podcast videos into the ipod h.264 format. All was well until the conversion reached 99%, where it stopped. I checked out the info and it said something along the lines of "frame decoding failed maximum number of scalefactor bands exceeded" over and over and over again. I tried it again and got the same thing. Any suggestions on what I should do??? Thanks a lot!!!! Are there any other free programs that you know of that are simple to use and can make the conversion? |

| Just about program can be used (including iMovie), as long as it can export video that meet's the iPod Video specs (from QTPro FAQ): H.264 video
I'd suggest buying a key for QT Pro (7.0.3).
