| usb2firewire? Is there such a thing as a usb to firewire converter? And if so, would it enable me to boot from and external usb drive (converted to firewire, of course)? |

| Nope, don't know of any of those either. I think that the FireWire spec is just too different from the USB spec to have any kind of simple converter, unlike USB and serial/parallel devices (USB->parallel, USB->serial, etc. all exist). Of course, I'm just kind of speculating on all this -- I still haven't heard of any FireWire to USB (or vice-versa) converters.
