Seagate 250GB Harddrive & Siig PCI card problem

I replaced my original 10GB harddrive with a Seagate 250 HD and a Siig PCI card. I updated my OSX 10 to OS10.4.4. After that I was able to partition the drive. However, after I cloned (CCC,bootable) my information onto the Seagate drive I could not boot the Seagate drive and the firewire drive I am now working from would shut down after about two minutes.
The notice to restart is the one you get with a Kernel Panic(uncorrectable machine check).
I have done the following in the effort to solve this: Disk repair, permissions repair, Safe Boot and trashed the Font Cache, checked that the pci card is inserted correctly. I also tried loading OS 10.4 from the installation disk. It started installing, ran for about 2 minutes installed 6 or 7 items and shut down. Same message.
I have a PowerMac 400 AGP , the Segate drive (Master), a 80GB Western Digital HD (slave). I am currently runnning off the fireware drive. I have repartioned the Seagate drive, but have nothing on it.
Sure will appreciate help.
