Unhappy Help! Hotsync my palm to ibook G4

Need help....I have an ibook G4 and palmOne Zire 72. I'm trying to set up wireless hotsync and I keep getting a error message "unable to initiate hotsync operation because the port is in use by another application" on my palmOne. I'm sure this is an pretty simple fix....can anyone advise?

    Thanks!

My Palm T3 fails at the same point every time: photo syncronization. Nice. And, the Palm forums are no help at all. The Palm support staff reads through them and responds, but they never responded to me. It syncs fine on my WinXP and Win2k machines, though. Palm is a sad shame. The switch to Windows Mobile on the new devices says it all. No more Palm OS probably means limited or no support for the OS going forward. How the mighty have fallen.

    Angry Palm 3c sync problem

    I have a similar problem.

Since upgrading to 10.4 I've found the datebook doesn't sync at all between my palm 3 and my mac. On 10.3 and earlier it worked just fine.

Now I've searched the net and found that palm 3 is no-longer supported by mac OS and iSync, nor is it supported by The Missing Sync - which I would have had to purchase to do what I used to do happily on the earlier operating system.

Can anyone advise as to whether there is a solution for this problem?

If it's not fixed by the end of the week, I'm goign to downgrade the OS. I simply am unimpressed with having to purchase a new device just because the OS no-longer supports it.

I thought Apple was cool til this point - yes you might think it's an overreaction, but I like my equipment and it all works just fine - or did before the tiger upgrade.
