Im having issues getting my white keyboard to be seen by my iMac, this problem has just cropped up in the last 2 days. If I don't plug my mouse directly into the back of the machine (USB port) if wont be recognized either. I get a dialogue box showing bluetooth setup assistant for a keyboard... I assume this is because there is NO keyboard connected. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |

I'm guessing that you have the USB keyboard. Make sure you don't have it connected through a hub as that sometimes tends to cause problems. I recommend you the keyboard connected directly to the iMac and the mouse connected directly to the keyboard. If you have the Bluetooth one (which is what I have on my iMac G5 2 GHz), make sure that you have fresh batteries. Also, try turning it off and on from the switch underneath the keyboard. Same for the mouse if it's not detected...just turn it off and on.
