New LCD attached to PB 1.5ghz

I just bought a new Samsung 19" LCD to connect to my wifes 15" PB 1.5ghz. I cannot get the signal to come out of the DVI connector.

I CAN get it to work if I connect the DVI-VGA into the monitor via vga, but I need it to come out of the PB and into the LCD via DVI.

I am using a brand new DVI cable from the PB to the LCD. And have tried the closing the lid, then plugging in the DVI trick, but nothing when attached to vis the DVI.

Any tips?

thanks
calvin
