| iMac G5 DVD Problems Hardware Overview: Machine Name: iMac G5 Machine Model: PowerMac12,1 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.1) Number Of CPUs: 1 CPU Speed: 2.1 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.5 GB Bus Speed: 700 MHz Boot ROM Version: 5.2.6f1 I am having trouble with commercial DVD's. They used to work fine but now when I insert the DVD i get a black screen in the DVD player window and the time tracks forward in real-time with no images. No navugation is possible other than "stop". Any idea out there? Additionally. I recently replaced a faulty superdrive on my 867 Mhz powerbook G4 with the Matshita UJ-845S. The work was done by an authorized service shop. Commervial DVD's are not recognized at all. I have tried patchburn with no success. Any experts out tthere? Regards, Ryan |
