USB Drive no longer mounted at startup

I have a USB Jumpdrive, i plug it in, and it mounts fine, if i restart the Mac OS, however, it is not mounted on startup, I am used to how windows would mount it without having to disconnect and reconnect the key. how do i have it mounted if its plugged in at boot?
