Wireless Networking

Hello all. This is only my second thread so be gentle!

I have an AsanteTalk Wireless Router (the one with print server built in). Look at my equipment list below, I am trying to connect my two computers. How do I get the iMac to connect wirelessly with the Astante hub? Do I have to shell out another $300 for an Airport for the iMac G3 Indigo computer or is there a cheaper transmitter that I can use?

Let me know whatch'all think.

Nato

I'm not sure how it works but can't you just turn airport on? At my place, my roommate got DSL and i hooked the DSL into the phone jack, then the wireless device into the DSL thing and i had internet. I didn't configure a damn thing.

The iMac does not have an Airport card, as far as I know. Would some of them have come equipped with them? Would I do a System Profile to find out?

Not all iMacs have an Airport slot. Check your manual to see if it does.

If not, you can use a Links WET11 adapter found here;

I think you can use the "Apple System Profiler" to find out if you have an Airport card installed. It'll be in Applications/Utililties on OSX or in the Apple menu on OS9.
