THEMACER is on a distinguished road
video card ram

I still dont get it. Since i have installed my radeon 8500, in the ati window it says i have "32mb buffer size". Then i click window on top of the screen next to the clock and then next window then move window and another window appears it says its set at 800x600 and also has 32mb buffer size. And also when you click window at the top it shows radius kds(my only monitor) and "VGA Display". I think that i am not getting the full 64mb even tho in the System pref it says i do have 64mb. I think the video card for some reason thinks i have 2 mon and it split the ram to 32mb on one mon and 32 on the other. I have this mon connected to the vga port and nothing else is connected. I didnt feel a big diff in jaguar when i first installed it even with the 64mb video card and maybe thats why. This whole time ive been using half. Can anyone with a ati 8500 or any ati video card with dual monitors see if each window says 64 or 32. I also have the latest drivers installed. My machine if you need to know is a g4 400mhz,1024mb ram, radeon 8500, and dvd drive.
