Fax modem recommends?

Hello,

For some reason, I can no longer receive faxes on the internal modem that came installed on my G5. Not sure when it stopped working.

I have been advised that the apple USB modem does not work with a fax on a VOIP, and I am using Vonage for phone and fax.

Anyone have a recommendation? Really don't feel like cluttering my small office with a fax machine (that I rarely use anyway).

Thanks,

J

The advice given you is correct. To communicate via VAX, you must connect over a conventional analog telephone line. Alternatively, you may also use a commercial online FAX service such as eFax.

Is a separate fax machine on a VOIP a viable option, or is VOIP not ideal for faxing?

Thanks,

J
