| External USB Disk We have a Maxtor One Touch III, self powered, that is not mounting on a particular 15" PowerBook G4 running 10.4.8 with all security patches installed. Nothing shows up in System Profiler or Disk Utility - nothing meaning in reference to the drive, I can see both USB Buses in System Profiler. Drive automounts fine on PC's running XP SP-2 and other similar G4 PowerBooks. Other external disks, mice and flash drives function properly. I've attempted using both USB ports. It doesn't matter what the combination, the One Touch III just will not automount on a particular system. What is going on and what else can I try? Thanks, Tim  |
