| Reformat PC Drive to Mac I have an older Maxtor drive I put into a new case. It's an 80gig USB and Firewire drive with power cable. Here's the problem. I can see the drive on my mac but not my pc. It's formatted for a pc, I believe but when I get info on it the drive is locked and I only have Read Only permissions to it. Disk Utility can't erase it. What can I do to erase and reformat this drive so that it's fully mac compatible and has Read/Write permissions for me? (I don't care about the data on the drive).

| Have you considered that the hardware might be the problem? Or did you rule that out already?

| Drive shows up on my mac, so I don't think it's a hardware problem.
