| I still have an Apple IIgs, not sure if it works though (nothing to test it with). Also a Mac Classic II (love that computer). Isn't the StarMax, a Macintosh Clone?

| Most definitely. I believe it was the first PowerPC machine to run an Apple operating system.

| Back to life again! I said in my original post that I had substitued the internal battery (with a bench power supply), but only for a few minutes while I did the tests. Prompted by Chevy's reply I thought I would leave it connected for longer to see if that helped. After one day, no change. After two days it worked OK. Now it works even if the power supply is not connected. Thanks Chevy. |
