| Booting from raid?? Hi Folks, I am wanting to re install 10.4 on my 400Mhz G4 on a stripped raid volume. I have booted from my install disk, used disk utility to create the stripped volume and installed 10.4. However, when I boot the machine it comes up saying that its booting OS X and then I get a blue screen with the spinning coloured disk for a mouse pointer. Is booting from a stripped volume possible? Thanks Jon |

| It is possible. Can you safe boot it either? (Hold down shift after you hear the startup chime, until you see the starting up mac os x screen). http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61548 Or hold option at startup. f this doesn't work, restart your computer while holding down the Command, Option, Shift, and Delete keys |
