imac/laptop audio adaptor

My Imac came with these little speakers (Harmon-Kardon?) I want to use them on my laptop but the audio jack is smaller than the one on my laptop. Is there an adaptor? Where would I get it?
thanks

Is the iMac in question a G4, I presume.. (considering the G5 and G3 have built-in speakers)

The iMac G4 utilized Digital Audio, I believe (maybe some models?). I think the Harmon/Kardon speakers are digital. But don't quote me on it because I don't own a G4

However, I would imagine if the speakers are digital, you're best bet is to just buy some new speakers, I dont think an adapter is made for that (although I could be wrong).

After looking in Mactracker, it appears the G4 just has a 2.5mm Minijack for the speakers, as well as a standard 3.5mm connector. You can probably get an adapter for this. Such as http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05...745&t_mode=des
(site is sort of slow, may take a second to load)

He might be talking about the harmon kardon iSticks, which will need the iFire. http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Griffin-...-Griffin-iFire

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
The Apple Pro speakers, which would be those mentioned in this thread, are digital, and are only supported when connected to a Mac with the proper connector. A very limited number of powered adapters could be used in other ways. The iFire product has not been sold for at least a year (and not offered for sale at the link shown), and no other product is available now to power the Apple Pro speaker set, AFAIK. You might be able to find one on eBay, etc.
