Help menu shows up too slow

I suspect something not right about my OS 10.4.9. When I click "Help" on the menu. Any Help window shows up on the window for one minute or more. Why it is so slow?

Does it affects the Help menu after I downloaded two 30 days free-trial software? The download software that I got is: FileMaker and FileMaker's Server.


Another issue for my HP psc 2410 printer, it prints so slow. It was normal and fast.

My computer has 2GB memory, and it is a G5 desktop dual.

How can I fix the problems? Thank you.
