Battery Issues

I have an iBook G4 1.07GHz, 1.25GB RAM, 10.3.9, 100GB HDD

Battery has been calibrated and is acting erratically.

There seems to be a problem with my iBook maintaining a charge. Sometimes it charges in about 2 hours, but dies in less than 1 hour. The battery icon states that the battery is charged 100%, but after the connector is removed, the icon states that there is only a 50% charge. At times it will be charged 100% and then start dropping at about 1% every 20-45 seconds. When I'm using it and it is charging the charge time seems to keep going up slowly, never coming down until I stop using it. The seller from who I had purchased this iBook stated that the battery is only 2 months old. Might this be something wrong with battery itself or something deeper?

I had PowerBook G4 before and it responded to opening programs in about 2 or 3 bounces in the dock, but I've noticed that this iBook does it in about 4-6 bounces in the dock. The PowerBook G4 had 768MB ram, compared to the 1.25GB in the iBook G4.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks
